1514 E Minnehaha Parkway Kitchen Remodel
When we helped these clients purchase their mid-century house on the Minnehaha Parkway, we saw good bones and untapped potential. The kitchen was cramped and closed off, not the ideal setup for homeowners who love to cook and entertain. The living spaces were pleasant but forgettable.
Fast forward a few years, and we returned to bring the owners’ vision to life. We removed a wall to open up the kitchen, feathered in new hardwood to match the existing floors, and built out a space that matches how these clients actually live: sleek walnut cabinetry, a waterfall quartz island, professional appliances, and room to breathe.
In the dining room, we gave the original built-in cabinet a facelift and leaned into color-drenching — walls, ceiling, and trim in the same moody blue — turning an unremarkable room into a space in which to linger. The living room was washed in a softer tone and given a focal point: a stunning floor-to-ceiling tile surround that draws the eye and anchors the space.
This is what it looks like when a house finally catches up to the people living in it.
