4th Avenue Kitchen Renovation

This South Minneapolis kitchen had old world charm with its original cabinets and woodwork, but it was crowded and with no dishwasher and little counterspace, it lacked functionality. When we took down the wall to open the kitchen up to the dining room, we discovered a brick chimney and copper pipe that were too pretty to cover back up, so we incorporated them into the design. A deep copper sink built into the peninsula accompanies the newly polished copper pipe. A custom wood wine racks complements the existing natural woodwork, while dramatic glass backsplash tile and bright new stainless appliances complete the mixed material theme.
