After helping this young couple update their kitchen a few years ago, they invited us back to transform their awkward, dated second-floor bathroom into a modern and inviting retreat.

Their wish list included a double-sink vanity with generous storage and countertop space, a tub and shower practical for young children yet luxurious feeling for adults, and a convenient laundry area on the bedroom level. By borrowing space from an adjacent hallway linen closet for a stackable washer and dryer, we were able to deliver on each of their priorities.

The finished design balances warmth, color, and clean-lined simplicity to create a sophisticated and welcoming space. A floating teak vanity with fluted fronts serves as the focal point, introducing rich texture and natural warmth, while a crisp white countertop and vertically stacked white tile provide a bright, understated backdrop. Soft brass mirrors, lighting, and plumbing fixtures lend quiet elegance, while aquamarine shower tile adds depth, movement, and visual interest.

Paired with a warm terracotta shower curtain and layered natural textures, the palette strikes a balance between modern design and timeless appeal, creating a bathroom that feels thoughtfully curated, highly functional, and comfortable for everyday living.
