Idaho Ave kitchen renovation

Our longtime architect friend and his wife reached out because the kitchen in their 1940 Falcon Heights home needed a refresh. We took down a wall to open up the kitchen, feathered in new oak floors to match the original ones, and created a two-level peninsula to add both countertop space and seating. A clean white quartz countertop and marble hex tile separate titanium gray base cabinets and crisp white uppers. A sturdy farmhouse sink and playful cabinet hardware are delightful accents, but the highlight of the space is the peninsula’s stunning, blue lava quartzite waterfall countertop.
